Effective April 22, 2010 federal law requires the contractors who renovate, repair or paint and disturb more than 6 square feet of paint in homes, schools, and child care facilities built before 1978 must be certified and trained to follow lead safe work practices to prevent lead contamination. If you are planning on remodeling your pre 1978 home and have questions regarding lead paint we will be happy to assist you. If remodeling, current EPA regulations require that you read “Protect your family from lead paint in your home”and “Renovate right” .
